Fat Tuesday!
A perfect day for trump and Kennedy
JFK junior says – eat more saturated fats and more meat – it is at the top of his new inverted food pyramid.
Fat Tuesday, also known as Mardi Gras, is celebrated on February 17, 2026. It marks the last day of the Carnival season and precedes the 40-day period of Lent, which begins on Ash Wednesday. The name “Fat Tuesday” comes from the tradition of consuming rich, fatty foods before the fasting season of Lent begins. This day is a time for indulgence and celebration, often associated with parades, masks, and vibrant festivities, particularly in New Orleans. (Yahoo)

Yes, that is our Health secretary eating and planning his revision for the food pyramid.
The food pyramid does do some good things – like emphasizing the problem with ultra-processed food. But this pyramid or inverted pyramid leaves a lot of questions unanswered.
Lauren Link, a registered dietitian and board-certified specialist in sports dietetics, and an assistant athletic director of sports nutrition at Purdue. “It reminds me of the original pyramid. I mean sure, we get the general gist. Eat more of these foods and less of these foods, but I don’t know how much to put on my plate,” Link said. “That’s why we went to MyPlate, which I think most dietitians and health professionals would agree is much more user-friendly.”
“The protein recommendation went up a little, which I’m like, ‘cool, whatever.’ The saturated fat recommendation didn’t change, which is good because we know saturated fat is bad for cardiovascular health. There’s no new science to refute that,” Link said.
“While she recognized that many of these recommendations haven’t changed in the guidelines themselves, she pointed out how the new pyramid has plenty of items in the top left that are high in saturated fat and seem to present a different picture than the guidelines do.
“If you’re a consumer who has very little nutrition knowledge, it would be hard, probably impossible, to meet the saturated fat recommendation by following this hierarchy,” Link said. “If I include even a couple of these foods, even just a serving a day, then I’m over (the recommendation).”

As a person who does not always make the healthiest diet choices I am still amazed that this would be the recommendation. Look at the entire stick of butter in the middle
People would complain about the old pyramid saying that dairy and big industries like meat producers had too much influence, so this pyramid has a full carton of WHOLE MILK right in the middle of the second row. It is a contradictory pyramid with their guidelines saying you need to have proteins in every meal – while accurately pushing for non-processed foods, lower sugar levels, fruits and vegetables, but grains on the bottom.
Secretary Rollins said. “At long last, we are realigning our food system to support American farmers, ranchers, and companies that grow and produce real food.”
